To jump in here....

As Kevin says, xAP is something that the manufacturer is working on
but I believe that it may be a variant of the currently available
NETIOM.

A firmware upgrade would require a processor reprogram - not in
circuit though.

It is challenging to code xPL when you have to work on the buffer in
the Ethernet chip - you can't copy to RAM as there isn't enough. So
you end up doing a lot of work with pointers and a bitwise state
table.

Once completed, and I'm not going to get peoples hopes up about when
as it is a background activity, then it should also transferable to
the Modtronix units.
