Re: rgb led controller

Hi Ian

I have implemented xPL native on my TVOSD ,LCDOSD and FirM serial interface
,they all still require a pc app ie devcom to operate , so im thinking its
just as easy to implement the xpl stuff in an app , this is how my probe
system works with xPL, ie via tonys xPL-PROBE....The only advantage i can
see for having the xpl stuff in my hardware is that i dont require a
special app to be written....

Am i missing something here ???
Thanks
Frank

Been watching that with considerable interest!!

They look brilliant, and a great way to add a lot off effects lighting
without too much hassle.. Gerry wrote the java xPL framework, so it would
be incredibly cool if we could get xPL control of the RGBLED driver boards.

The only issue I can see is how packed the PIC chip is - there wouldn't be
space to add an xPL implementation directly.

(what might be possible is to add a daughter board that plugs in where the
MAX232 goes, to add xpl support that way.

Ian.
