Hi Tony
Also, should there be an option to re-assign a key to lock/unlock the
remot=
e
into this mode when the device is ON?
This is a good idea ..if i have the right end of the stick.....I assume
tha=
t if the device is unlocked then xplmedianet will not respond to vol up
vol=
down etc so lighting can respond.....Wouldnt we need to use a global to in=
dicate unlocked and test the global in the lighting Determinators ???

Subject: [ukha_xpl] xPLMediaNet - Remote.Basic Mapping
Hi all,
Currently when xplmedianet devices are off the remote can be used to send
remote.basic commands to control other devices. The key description is
simply the ir code - not very friendly
Should I amend it to send a text word instead? This can be accomplished b=
y
adding a section to keymap.xml (which let's you remap functions on the
remote/front panel) to map ir codes to 'friendly names'.
Also, should there be an option to re-assign a key to lock/unlock the rem=
ote
into this mode when the device is ON?
This would allow lights etc to be controlled without having to turn the
device off (which obviously stops the music or whatever).
Any thoughts/comments please?
Many thanks
Tony
