Communication would be fairly slow - IIRC, you get around 40 updates per
second on each channel, so that's only 40 bytes per second. You would
probably need custom hardware too (or just an RS485 interface with
software
DMX). DMX is sent continuously, so the hardware we've been talking
about
would just keep sending the same values on each channel until you
changed
it.
