changed the script to eliminate all the common non a-z characters eg:
, . - / \ still only some were being entered....

checked the monitor log looking for patterns actually thought it may
be the "." that was the problem if it was mid way though... ie
"sky
news." for the description was fine but "sky news. sky
weather"
wouldn't be....

anyway enough rambling.... the patterern was descriptions greater
than 50 characters....

I'd created a new table, changed each field to allow null values,
didn't change the default size from 50 to 128....

will run it overnight and see what happens.....
