Re: xPLRioNet 3.8j
Well it appears something has changed in my system. I installed 3.8j and
it appeared that everything was working. I distinctly remember
transcoding working for my 320kbs files and Shoutcast streams weren't
dropping any longer. Today I tried to play some of my podcasts and they
pop up on the unit2 web page as playing and if I do a refresh on the
page they show they have stopped without playing back a thing. At first
I thought maybe thye are low bitrate mp3s and lame is probably trying to
transcode all mp3s and having trouble with the low ones. So I changed
the rio in the TRANSCODE.XML file to an asterisk. Tried again and the
same thing happened. I tried playing other music at higher bit rates
nothing plays. I have restarted/stopped and started the rionet service.
I have rebooted the PC and I have even brought up the xPL Monitor and it
looks good only status shows stopped. Logging shows the start up is
good. All that plays now is Shoutcast streams. Anyone got an idea what
would only stop files from playing from the local PC? I even rescanned
the media directories thinking the database got hosed.
Anyway, I thought before I uninstall RioNet and reinstall it I would see
if anyone had any ideas what could affect local files only. Thank
goodness shoutcast still works. ;-D
Mike
