Frank,
Yes, I'd say that I have enough installed Cat-5 to get around the
first requirement.
As to inserting an infrared signal from an alternate device i.e.
computer what type of interfacing is required.
I had thought about modifying one of the jaycar kits, I've seen
advertised. But if you have any suggestions then I be open to them.
I'll await your responce.
