Here is how mine works. I have the mss100 setup to be virtual com12.
Then I have the tvosd connected to the mss100. On the PC side I have
a tony's DEVCOM program, the basic framework program which just does serial
pass through. This has config items for comport, baud etc. I then set
the mss100 to 9600,8,1,none,remote,none and then set the devcom
program up the same.

That's it really the devcom program picks up the xpl messages and
sends them through to com12 (the mss100 unit) which in turn send them
to the tvosd and the reverse for messages coming back.
