Not a problem, as I have a Meteor, and it appears the Hayes doesn't support
my
type of caller ID.

If you can detect each time it rings, why not simulate a cid.meteor ring
message, e.g.

cid.meteor
{
calltype=inbound
ccs=ring
}

At least then people who don't have a Meteor can use it as a basic answer
phone,
and it will be 100% compatible with Meteor-style scripts that look for a
ccs=ring in the Meteor message.
