Just that the way that I view a xPL message is that the top header
information contains all the information that is required for a device to
determine whether a message is for it. Once it has established this it can
discard the header part and deal with the guts of the message that is
contained in the body without having to use the header and body together.

As I say it's only my personal view of how I see it. It helps me think when
things get fuzzy.
