xAPmpd 0.1.0 is ready for download at http://www.opnode.org

xAPmpd is a xAP conduit for MPD. MPD (Music Player Daemon) is a music
server that stores and plays audio files stored in the network or in
the local machine. MPD runs under Linux and is lightweight enough to
run on almost any low-power computer. It can even run on a Slug (166
MHz, 32 MB RAM) and its performance is perfect for such compact
solution.

The great advantages about MPD are:

Runs on almost any Linux machine with audio and network
There are a lot of graphical clients (for Windows, Linux, Mac, iPhone,
etc) to control MPD
It's open and free

... And thanks to xAPmpd, MPD now can be controlled through the xAP
Audio and Media Control Schema.

MPD official page: http://mpd.wikia.com

I'm sure that those xAP users wanting to set up a compact music server
won't be disappointed by MPD.

Regards,
