In Viewer take a look at one of the heartbeat messages from
SqueezeCenter,
it should show you the ephemeral port that the plugin thinks it is
listening
on (e.g. in my case 49154).

Then open up a command prompt on the PC with SC on and type:

netstat -abnp UDP

You're looking for something like:

UDP    127.0.0.1:49154 *:* 3196 [SQUEEZ~1.EXE]

Which should show if the plugin has registered with the Hub or not...
