Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried your idea and sent the message below using 'Send'.  Showed up
in Viewer (running on another machine on the network) fine but
absolutely no effect on the SB's playing.

Hub is up and running fine and I have a number of other xAP apps
running happily.  For SqueezeCentre, I can see all the xAP transport
messages for 'Lounge' fine.  As you say, it just seems to be not
listening (or not hearing) for messages across the network.

I've subsequently upgraded to the b3 version but have exactly the same
symptoms.

I'm running the Service based hub (been in place for a long while so I
don't quite recall the provenance) that comes up on viewer as:

xap-hbeat
{
v=12
hop=1
uid=FF100100
class=xap-hbeat.alive
source=KCSoft.Hub.HA-Server-1
interval=60
port=3639
pid=1936
}

Bit stumped!
