Hi,

The number is in seconds.  The launcher uses the windows InputTimer,
which is what windows uses for things like the screensaver. Usually the
only things that reset it are keyboard or mouse input however some apps,
especially mediaplayers,   do reset this timer in order to keep a
screensaver for interrupting things.

What number is the timeout set to? I've certainly used it upto 20
minutes or so, but maybe there is an issue with really big times.
