...and you set the actions to be performed in your app?

I still don't run xAP on my HA server (I've played with it but the
functionality hasn't been there for what I want to do  - this will change
that hopefully!).

Paul,

While the outlook plugin's main purpose is to provide and sync address
book data with the callerid app, it will have some more functions.
Currently the plugin generates an event on new mail and when a reminder
pops up, but only if the mail or appointment is a member of the 'xAP'
category. This should make it pretty flexible as to what generates
events. An event will be both the sending of an alert xap message but
also a configurable sequence of messages for things like message
displays or tts.
