Yeah, like I said in my reply - "on standard tyres etc"

The problem with the UK is that Snow is never a certainty.  Even in
the years we get it, it may only be for a few days.  Most people won't
(or cant afford) to invest in a whole other set of wheels and tyres
for the sake of the odd day here and there.  If snow was a permanent,
predictable, significant part of our winters then I'm sure that would
change though.
