Hi Martin,

I actually already follow your blog!

I definitely agree that the I/O abilities of the RasPi are very limited. 
However, the Arduino has limited processing abilities and RAM.  For example
it would struggle to calculate the position of the sun, or parse an XML
weather feed.  That's why I intend to combine the two (and I suspect a lot
of people will too).

I will also look into moving some other HA tasks from the full fat server
to a Pi or two.  At the moment it also logs the space heating and a solar
thermal system.
