Ross,

I'm using an arduino to switch home easy devices on and off, its been
working fine for the past three months or so (until today when the
remote control developed a fault).  Some details on my blog

The Raspi looks good, but I already had the arduino and it has lots of
I/O pins which the Raspi lacks
