RE: Re: BT HomeHub Networking Woes
Tim,
My comments are only related in that I too found BT utterly useless in
term=
s
of technical ability. They attempted to install ADSL on a line that was
twice as long as the maximum possible, I won=92t bore you with the
contents=
of
numerous phone calls save to say it would have been comical if it wasn=92t
=
so
important (it was Business Broadband).
Up shot is that OTELLO (OFCOM) have upheld a complaint I made and I am
waiting for =A3100 credit on my account=85.
Makes me sad, I was a BT apprentice and hark back to the days of people who
knew what they were talking about=85

A further update on this old thread...
I finally bit the bullet and called BT a short while ago in some vain hope
they could be bothered. Fortunately it was an 0800 number...
Apparently, as my broadband connection was working correctly, there's
nothing they are obliged to do! They refused to accept the HH was faulty
because a line test came back ok. The promised call back 1/2-hour later
never happened either.
So in the interests of my ongoing sanity I've replaced the HH with a Vigor
2820n and haven't looked back. What a difference!
Cheers,
Tim.
