Personall I use Google Charts (http://code.google.com/apis/chart/image/docs/gallery/qr_codes.html)

You can easily create them by passing parameters to the URL to generate an
image to download/embed or email.
https://chart.googleapis.com/chart?chs=50x50&cht=qr&chl=Hello+world&chld=L1&choe=UTF-8
