I've ran Coax to each of my bedrooms and lounge from my Node 0. I have
inst=
alled a system like this in Node 0:
<http://www.satelliteonline.co.uk/commercial_systems.htm>
Note - I didn't get mine from this company and have nothing to do with
them=
- they just seem to have everything you need.
It allows me to put satellite receivers in any room where the Coax runs.
To achieve the same with HDMI over CAT5e I would have had to run 2 extra
CA=
T5e cables to each location, they all already have either 2 or 4 deepening
=
on location. I would also have had to get an HDMI matrix with 8 outputs
(as=
suming 1 to each bedroom, 2 to lounge and a little room for growth), plus
a=
ll the receiver / transmitter units.
I haven't added up cost but suspect the way I have gone is the cheaper
solu=
tion, plus it gives me the benefit of letting the kids have their own PVR
s=
o they don't fill my one up with their programs.
Cheers,
Rob
