Evening,

I was under the impression that, if the companies can't accurately measure
what you have used, they can't charge you.. I had a friend who discovered
her meter didn't go round after 3 years at the property, sweb tried to
estimate what they should pay, they kicked up a fuss, and threatened court,
they refunded 3 years electric, because they could not accurately measure
what they had used.

Not sure if this applies, as your measurement may be accurate but the
switchover not, but if they can't keep time, can they measure correctly
what
you have used?

Knowingly overcharging is fraud.

Involve the press, and register a case with the police. Send registered
post
letters to the director of operations, and suggest they may be summons to
appear in court. Directors love attending court, it's like putting a Google
ad on their CV, saying "Person is court-proven incompetent.".
