Boosting GSM Signals inside the house

Having finally succumbed to the lure of an iPhone 4 and living out in
the
wilds where it is virtually impossible to get a signal outside the house
and
impossible inside I seem to recall a device that plugged into your
LAN/Broadband router and provided a GSM signal locally. I've not been able
to find a link to it, any ideas of solutions to get me a signal.
