Noel,

How about a xAP-enabled NetIOM board to monitor the flow switch and xAP to
then drive one of the NetIOM outputs to an interposing relay (mains rated)
to switch the mirror pad?

Once you've captured the state of the flow switch within xAP you can
probably use one of the music control schema to force a volume increase,
and
subsequent decrease when the shower is no longer flowing. What audio system
are you using?

You might find you need a timed overrun on the switch for the mirror pad.
Having it on then switching off as soon as the shower stops may lead to it
misting up. I guess a bit of experimentation is required...
