Re: Re: CBus Touch Screens and CBus Wiser

Hi Paul,

I assume your C-Gate is attached to C-Bus already using a non Wiser
interface - e.g. a standalone PCI or CNI interface ? If so this will
have no effect on Wiser.

Attaching C-Gate via the CNI within the Wiser unit would remove the CNI
from being available to Wiser so none of the C-Bus web interface
functionality would then work. C-Gate uses the C-Bus connection
extensively and frequently and also initialises and sequences commands
through the interface in a different mode so there is no possibility of
sharing C-Gate's C-Bus connection with anything else. If however your
connection is to C-Gate direct (eg the Pronto) then it will happily
handle multiple connections for you.

From the docs for the Wiser Web interface:
"The wrench icon means that the Wiser Home Controller is currently in
CNI mode meaning that the device is being used as a CNI and thus the web
browser control will not function until the CNI mode is disconnected.
Once CNI mode is disconnected the wrench icon will disappear, and the
Wiser Home Controller can be used like normal."

I am not sure if all functionality of the web interface is lost when in
CNI mode (certainly any C-Bus interaction is) but maybe some widgets
like the RSS displayed data or other non C-Bus information might still
update.
