Hi all,
I am trying to read up on the capabilities of the Wiser module and don't
appear to be getting very far on specifics.
Is Wiser capable of having it's router settings configured either manually
or pref automatically to work with Windows Home server? WHS doesn't get on
with my Vigor router at all and remote access is non existent.
I assume the Wiser just plugs into my network where my existing Vigor
router is and I supply it with an Ethernet cable from an ADSL modem?
The marketing blurb keeps talking about interfacing it to a security system
yet I can find no information on how this achieved or what alarm panels are
supported, anyone got any info on this? Or any of the other third party
devices supported?
I currently have a Mk2 black and White touchscreen in the lounge, is there
a way of loading the Wiser template onto this to keep consistent look and
feel or does the Wiser only work if you have a colour touchscreen?
I will need to buy another Touchscreen very shortly, does anyone know
anything about the Ctouch spectrum that Kevin posted on the Cbus forums
about?
In the next 3 weeks the room will be decorated and I will have no option
but to use the Black White screen as SWMBO will murder me if I start
cutting holes in her new wallpaper, so any info greatly appreciated!!
At the moment I don't think I will make use of all of the remote acces
features of the Wiser (though I might in the future) and I am trying to
weigh up the value add in simplifying the ammount of kit in the garage.
I'll be able to ditch the access point that's used for the pronto's, get
rid of the lantronix adaptor / CBUS PC interface and gain scheduling and
logic functionality - although was going to buy a logic screen this time.
Any thoughts / inputs welcome
Cheers
Paul
