Re: HD media player - consensus on the best?

On the subject of XBMC / Boxee, etc. Are these capable of accessing
ITV,
4OD and Five tv shows without having to resort to using a browser?

I am under SWMBO pressure to get something sorted. Having won brownie
points with setting up the kids Wii to access BBC iPlayer for her, she
tried watching ITV on it, but failed and had to resort to using the
laptop - resulting in much grumbling.

So, I am on the lookout for a solution that is capable of accessing all
of the terestrial channel replay services, that has a very simple
interface operated from a remote control. The idea of the Acer Revo 3600
with either XBMC or Boxee seems most likely - so long as it can access
iPlayer and the equivalent services from the commercial channels without
resorting back to the PC interface to use a web browser.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

cheers
Geoff
