(un)fortunately, I've got all other PC's shutting down when not in use
- so there's nothing available to send the magic packet :(

Alas, the recording schedule is pretty erratic - often times
programmes start at 1AM, 2AM etc - - so I'd have to have the bios wake
up at 00:40 for example - - meaning very little "shutdown time".

I guess it's time to upgrade the beast to something a little more
modern and energy efficient, so that 24*7 running isn't quite so
expensive/wasteful.

Have considered trying to parse the MCE Schedule, use that to
dynamically create a power on event using the ByeByeStandby Online
Controller....but that feels a little bit "cludgey" - even though
I'm
*very* intimate with the BBS website (I wrote it).

Time to Hibernate also varies - - don't want it to go down in the
middle of recording something, so can't use standard "idle time"
counters either.....

....hmm.....next post will be "recommendations for a lower power
consumption box capable of running Vista MCE well" :s

Unless anyone else has any suggestions..........

Thanks all the same.
