Pretty much agree.

The CR100 feels very nice in the hand, solid. My only slight issue is
the screen resolution. I suppose we are all spoiled by ipod screens.

iPod seems to work very well but has some limitations

It is not dedicated to Sonos so you have to pick it up and possibly
load the Sonos app.

The CR100 turns on as you pick it up.

I think I will end up with a mixture.

Rob - If you are looking for multizone hifi then Sonos fits the bill
very well.
