RE: Silent Gliss Autoglide

Ben,

Do you have any recommendations for the cable used for a 24v run back to
Co=
mfort, also, for a 24v supply fed by a relay module, do you require an
addi=
tional 24v supply, and if so, again any recommendations.

=20

Thanks in advance

Andrew,

You would need to connect the curtain supply to a fused spur. I would
alway=
s
supply the spur from the ring main, but if you can only get to the lighting
circuit then it will be fine for the odd curtain.=20

If your doing the whole house I would put all the curtains on there only
circuit, or run each one back to node 0 and install a 24v supply.

Ok, thanks for that.

So the motor electronics must be permanently wired/plugged into the
mains? Would a fused spur be required? Could it come off the lighting
circuit?

Andrew

The 5090 just needs a momentary closure of the switch to initiate an
"open" or "close".

As Ben said, you remove the switch and connect it to a CBUS relay (the
CBUS relays are volt free).

Set cbus up so that the relay closes for a short period via a Timer
action(1 second is more than enough) to initiate an "open" or
"close" of
the curtains. Set the Timer delay up in the Blocks tab

Currently, mine operate from one of the buttons on the Saturn switches
but will operate via light level when I get around to it!
