Hi James,
I've softmodded a couple of Xboxes for XMBC duties, but have never
bothered with a hard drive upgrade (use network share for media
source).
If you have any links to more detailed info on the steps to upgrade
the disk/eeprom, I'd be grateful if you could pass them on. With a
large enough disk, one of my Xboxes could be great for a standalone
player when one's not network connected (rip some favourite DVD's and
music to it, and away you go).
Sounds like it could also be a great solution to John's original question!
