I do exactly this.

I have my home machines in a workgroup: 3 Vista, 1 Windows Server 2003 and
1
Windows Server 2008 and the WHS box.

I have my work XP laptop which is part of a domain and connects to work via
a VPN. Importantly, it also configured to allow access to the local
network.

All these machines have the Windows Home Server connector installed (with
the exception of the WHS server, obviously).

They all have access to WHS and all are backed-up automatically at night.

As with most things in Home Server, it just works.

Hi all,

Hoping somebody will be able to help on a WHS question as have searched
the web and can't find a clear answer.

I would like to use a WHS to backup (as well as do file sharing for)
Multiple Windows Vista home PC's as well as two work Windows XP Pro
laptops , both of the laptops are members of domains relating to our
respective emplyers.

WHS website seems to imply that the software installed on the laptop or
pc controls the link between to the WHS box and that domain etc is
irrelavent, can anyone confirm this as work won't be too impressed if
they contribute towards the solution and it doesn't work
