I have got an EeePC, but haven't contemplated putting XP on it as the
Xandros install does everything that I need, and is probably more
versatile.
The EeePC is a brilliant piece of kit, but it isn't a desktop
replacement. I would use it for it's intended purpose as being an
ultra-mobile PC for web browsing and email on the move. It is extremely
easy to get Mobile Broadband working (so long as you get a Huwaei E220
modem) from Vodafone, Three, etc. I went with Three.
