Are you using the same credentials to connect to both machines?

What happens if you open the share up so that no login is required?

I always connect to samba shares with mine, so not an exact match,
Might be worth a quick trawl of the various Mac news groups/websites
to see if there's a problem with that version of OSX & that version of
windows.
