Same in our newly fitted out office. I *much* prefer the sockets lower
(ideally in the skirting) and the switches higher - it looks neater and
works
better!

Of course, if people think otherwise they should be free to have their
switches and sockets where they want, it's the "diktat from on
high" that's
depressing.
