ipod Touch as Home Controller
Hi All
Following on from the other thread
Looking closly at some ipod touches as Home Automation Controllers
=A3200 each for 8Gb ipod touch
iTunes Remote - ipod touch + Airport Express + Amp for each zone
gives=20=20
Sonos Capability for a bit less cash
ipod touch =3D =A3200
Airport Express =3D =A365
Amp =3D ?? (=A375)
Total Cost per zone =3D =A3340
Only current issue I can see is the ability to sync the same tune=20=20
across many zones
Web browser for home control software (Home seer etc)
Mail Client - Alerts etc
Aim Client for IM
Mapping with google Maps
Sync family photos for rooms without TV
Weather
It is starting to look like a cheap home controller
Anyone else got other uses?
