re:Rako, I have "dabbled" - haven't personally rolled out an
installation,
but have used it in a dev environment; RAV232+ a few dimmers and switch
plates, in order to add support for it to Harmony Home Automation Server.
Found it to be very reliable, and pretty easy to work with in my limited
test environment.

I know of a number of installers who've rolled out Rako in real-world
scenarios (together with Harmony), and the reports have been pretty
positive.  The main issue seems to be forward planning your addressing
scheme, as the units are a bit of a pain to re-code when buried in the loft
/ other cavities - - so be sure to plan your deployment up front. (avoid
accidental use of "group addresses" for example).

Will try to be more specific if you have particular questions, though I'm
sure there are others here who are more qualified to answer than me.
