3V AC/DC PSU for mounting in a back box/wall?

Take a look at the Velleman K1823 1 amp power supply kit, It's 52mm by
52mm
and will give a regulated voltage anywhere between 1.5 volts and 35 volts
for £5.45.
You'll also need a transformer and they do a 6 volt 250mA one which would
be
suitable.

The UK Velleman stockist is ESR up in the north-east, I find them very
helpful.
