RE: Windows XP - Pro or Home?

XP Pro will connect to a Windows domain and allow you to login to the
domai=
n
and apply all the group policy management and so on, however for normal
use=
,
then I'd go with XP Home. It's easy enough to write a simple logon script
t=
o
login to the domain if you have a domain (either Samba or Windows).

Your laptop will usually either have a set of recovery disks (basically a
Ghost image of the default build) or will have the image on the laptop and
tools to produce a recovery disk. The bottom of the laptop will have a
license sticker attached with the serial number should you need to
re-install.

Subject: [ukha_d] Windows XP - Pro or Home?

I need to buy another copy of Windows XP.

What exactly is the difference between Pro and Home? Do I need to
spend an extra =A330 to get Pro? Is the price at ebuyer good?

Also I have a Fujitsu Siemens laptop with Win XP installed on it, but
I don't remember it coming with any windows disks. What happens when /
if I need to do a reinstall?

What about serial codes etc?

Thanks
