Oh, in case people aren't aware...

If you have a suspicious file, just browse to virustotal.com, upload
it and wait for the scan results.  virustotal run a load (~30?)
differentvirus scanners over the file, and report what each says, if
anything.

It's particularly good for the latest less common nasties, as the
heuristic engines are different enough for one to usually spot the
file unpleasant.
