Try it is the best thing you can do as, long as you've installed some
monitoring software (like Motherboard Monitor or the the manufacturers) and
you're watching the temperatures (CPU, motherboard and harddrive) for the
first 10 mins like hawk, and then slightly less so for the next hour,

know for definite.
Personally I'd just replace the existing fan with a quiet fan, like a
Panflow or an NMB (fluid bearings - very quiet, but less air flow than a
normal fan), they aren't cheap, =A37-8 vs 99p, but well worth it.
