Hi Stuart,

I have 3 of the Solwise 85Mb Powerline adapters (solwise.co.uk - <=A3100
fo=
r 3 delivered IIRC). One at my router, one in the bedroom for XBMC and
one=
in the utility where the NAS lives, all coexist happily and report 70Mb+ c=
onnectivity most of the time through the "snoop" software
provided.  Config=
uration is trivial - Simply plug a cat5 cable into it and plug it into the
=
mains. I found a loss of performance of approx 50% going through RCD type
=
devices (I originally wanted my Nas in the garage loft, but settled for
the=
utility) YMMV.

The 85Mb version is fast enough to stream good quality video without
stutte=
ring (even if the other node is operational) but struggles with HD - There
=
is a 200 Mb version available. Sadly they are not compatible (but they
can=
coexist).

Can't say about the effect on X10 - I do have a spare pair you can try
(but=
they are not Solwise ones, but some cheap 14Mb ones I bought to test the c=
oncept).

Interested to know what you choose let me know,

Cheers,

Tim=20=20
