BTW, Apple took a long long while getting their DVD player working
properly ... sound synch' problems, mostly ... 'though there was a
work-around ... we first got it with OS8.6, but 'twasn't until OSX.4
(IIRC) that the player really got to be OK ... the issues seemed
simple, but the problems were deep & across several elements of the
system ... sometimes it happens, I guess ... especially when real-
time / synchronisation factors are involved ... even to MS !
