Steve,

I run SBS 2000, have been meaning to upgrade but because it just works
it is at the bottom of my to-do list...

Can't say anything specific about 2K3 but SBS2000 does it all for me,
Firewall, DNS, Caching, Domain, exchange etc. etc.

I do use apache as a webserver but use SBS 2K to route on Host Headers
from a single fixed IP, very easy to set up.

As I said I find it does what I need in a domestic set up, I use XP pro
on the desktops...

HTH

Nigel

Subject: [ukha_d] SBS Server

Hi All,

I am looking at streamlining some of my hardware, I currently have 3
servers
all Win2003 Std running web, email, sql, storage (music & video
streaming),
backup and various other bits and bobs.

I have a copy of MS SBS server 2003 R2 - through a MS subscription and
was
wondering what others think of the software and any experiences?

Should I stick with Win2003 Std + separate mail / sql etc or put all my
eggs
into one basket?

I am looking at getting a NAS to replace the storage server and any
personal
recommendations are also welcome.

Many thanks,

Steve
