True day/night / low light CCTV cams?

Following on from a recent post, I've been looking a bit more at some
of the more expensive CCTV cameras that have excellent colour images in
very low light. Trouble is, these seem to be in the larger block camera
format requiring a housing.

In my situation, I use the more discreet smaller cameras and don't want to
add a load of obtrusive camera enclosures!

Anyone know of this kind of excellent technology in the smaller self
contained packages?

Also, are there any sites that have a screen shot or live camera comparison
between different makes? Or maybe professional reviews?
