I'd just leave the router to handout IP addresses via DHCP.
You can make sure that anything that needs a fixed IP address e.g. a
server, keeps the same one by telling the DHCP server on the router to
handout a predefined IP address to a given MAC address.
On the Netgear router you can do this via the LAN IP Setup option
under the Advanced menu on the router. (Netgear call it Address
Reservation)
