Thanks - I was toying with the idea of a pervasive 1-wire
temperature-sensing network around the house (which is just a shell, at the
moment) as a way of detecting doors open etc ... picking-up on Tim's idea
of thermostats on pipes (in anorther thread) ...

Im not sure if you can still purchase them but maybe Justins TOM10 Board
which allows you to connect up to 10 dallas 1 wire sensors.......

I use my own hardware to monitor dallas ds18s20 sensors using a cat5 based
system.....It currently allows you to connect 2 dallas ds18s20 sensors
toprobe 5 + 6 of  each zone box but my test probe system is now setup to
allow dallas sensors in any probe input or all..which means up to 64 dallas
sensors......
