Geovision GV-IO card - can it be used for simple automation control?

Hello all,

this is a very easy question for anyone who has done it :-)

With the latest Geovision version is it possible to use the
inputs-outputs of a GV-IO card to implement simple automation senarios?

I know that you can use the inputs to trigger video recording but i am
not sure if you can simply do a dummy rule like

"when input signal then trigger relay" (no geovision
actions...just
detect input and act on that).
