Oh, one important thing I forgot to mention about the panasonic.

You DO need a windows PC to set it up. I used windows 2000 running under
parallels and
it needs to be in bridged networking mode. Once it's on the network all
further
configuration is done via the web page but it won't just start talking to a
DHCP server
staight out of the box.

I tried accessing it directly from OSX using the arp command to add it's
ethernet address
directly to the address translation tables on my Mac but it didn't work.

Axis gives instructions for setting up on linux and OSX using arp.

I believe Mobotix give you a proper config tool for OSX
