Remote control nirvana?

should go some way to turning the iPod touch/iPhone into a very nice
IR/general HA universal remote, no?
Doesn't look like it makes any/enough use of multi-touch though.
I figure multi-touch could mitigate against the big problem with using
touch screen remotes - no tactile feedback. A few gesture-like actions
for controlling the commonly used-blind functions, and button/menu based
input for the rest...
